I tried this oil with the kit. I particularly didn’t find it useful for my hair, mainly because I wasn’t consistent. And I didn’t take advantage of the class, that gives step by step instructions. However, I found a friend that loves it and it works well for her, so of course I passed the kit along. BUT, I kept the oil. 😊 The oil is amazing, and I found that it works well on my skin, specifically on my face. I found that a bit odd, so I didn’t want to share. But it is for hair and skin so I gave it a shot and tried it. Love it! And after seeing another review of the same (Roxanne W.), I had to share. I just ran out of the oil and after running across the ad, I will purchase again. And with the current sale going, I may just give the kit/system another try. But the oil!!! Yessss!!!
This oil is amazing. It light weight don't weight my hair down. My daughter and I have so much dandruff,It helps our dry scalp. I have a silk press, when my hair started to puff up. I oiled my hair with Pure Serum growth oil, wrapped it over night and my hair was straight and shiny. I didn't even apply heat. I have 4b hair, and my daughter has 4c. I definitely recommend this oil to all

Wash my hair today, this is week 4 I use Watermelon step 1-4. I use pure serum for curly hair oil moisturizing and lavender fragrance. It shines now, so I will see what it looks like the next 3 days. Also cute my hair from shoulder length to short bob cute in back.
The scent of the Lavender serum with jojoba oil is so soothing and relaxing. I love how my roots stand up after a good scalp massage. It sets my curls up with a strong foundation. I also mix the serum with my unscented lotion for a nice, subtle, springy fragrance.
I really love this serum. I uses it to prepoo my hair before shampooing. It works well as a refresh to awaken my curls/coils in the mornings. The jojoba oil is great for adding moisture to my 4c hair. The Lavender fragrance is light and not over bearing and it gives me a fantastic shine.
My hair loves this serum. Use it as part of hot oil treatment for my twist out on my TWA. Smells great & I added essential oils rosemary and tea tree. Don't need to use a lot for it to be effective.
The Lavender serum is so potent that I only need a couple drops evenly rubbed on my hands to scrunch out the gel cast for ultra moisture absorbing abilities. I use it on my body fresh out the shower as well. It has a very light, aromatic scent. It’s not perfumery at all. It is definitely a staple for us in this dry Winter climate and doesn’t irritate mine or my kid’s sensitive and eczema prone skin (huge plus).
I’ve been using it for 3 weeks. It’s a nice texture and medium weight. Pleasant smell. I want to see how much hair growth I will have in week 8 when I uninstall my protective Butterfly Locs.

I did get curls after shampooing but 2 days later my hair was dry and really tight and crunchy. When I twist it my hair come out. I also loose hair when I shampoo.
I love Curl Mix! It took a little trial and error the first time to master the amount and procedure for my hair texture, but After my second use - WOW! I bought the Lavender product 4-pack for moisture and I am still in my first purchase because I don't have to use a lot of product. It leaves my hair soft, curly, finger-run-through and springy with no build up. I am 70 and have worn wash & go's for years, but I have NEVER had movement with a Wash and Go like Curl Mix, even after 8 DAYS, (the pic I sent is an 8 DAY head!) My edges are still curly & I still have movement! My hair still looks great! I have to make myself wash it after 8 or 9 days. I add a little water to the back and sides each morning after I shower, rake my fingers through for lift and that's it! My FOREVER GO-TO. Thanks Curl Mix!

My Hair Story
1997
My First Relaxer
When I was 6 years old, my grandmother relaxed my hair, against my mother's request. My mother was so upset, and that led to 13 years of relaxers to acheive "straight hair" so I could feel "beauitful" and fit in at school.
2010
MY BIG CHOP
Sophomore year in college, I was inspired to go natural by my mother and several girls wearing their afros on campus. That semester, I cut all of my hair off in my dorm room.

FAQ
Will my products be all natural and organic?
Yes, we will only provide natural and/or organic ingredients. We keep our labels simple, so you can understand exactly what is going on your hair & body. All ingredient information is on each individual product page.
Do I need to refrigerate them?
No, the water-based products include a preservative. This includes all of our products except any pure oil formulas. Putting them in the refrigerator does help them last longer but is not required. Unopened, they have a 2 year shelf life and after it is opened, 1 year.
What if I'm allergic to a few things?
Ingredients may have been derived from corn, soy, wheat, and/or nut products. They may have also been produced in a facility that makes those products.
We recommend conducting an "Area/Patch Test" as described below.
Area/Patch Test: This test allows you to test a small area of your skin for 24 hours before applying the treatment to a larger area. We recommend rubbing the CurlMix mixture on the skin near your elbow, covering it with a bandage for 24 hours and if there is no allergic response (redness, itchiness,swelling) then apply the treatment as directed in the instructions. If you have an allergic reaction, we do not recommend the use of CurlMix and suggest that you seek a medical professional’s consultation.
What preservative do you use?
Optiphen PLUS We use a safe and natural preservative called Optiphen PLUS. It is a paraben and formaldehyde-free preservative as well. It's ideal for preserving natural products that are used on the hair and skin. It offers both safe & effective protection against bacteria, yeast and mold growth, making products last longer and safer to use.
How long will my CurlMix products last?
Approximately 2 years if unopened. Once opened, store in a cool dry place. It can last one year once opened.
