A third party needs to verify my employment - how can I take care of this request?
With Gusto and Truework, you are able to approve or decline incoming verification requests all on your own which allows you to have control over how & with whom your data is shared.
If you are applying for a loan, mortgage, rental, or other situation requiring verification, you can point them to Truework directly to “Start a Verification” on Truework's website .
You could also follow the following steps:
1) Head to your Dashboard in Gusto
2) Click 'Learn More' on the Truework card
3) Click Connect Truework.
Here's how it works:
1) Verifier requests employment and income information from Truework.
2 ) Gusto asks for your permission to share employment and income data with the verifier via Truework.
3) After you have authorized the integration, you can approve or decline verification request(s).
4) Information is provided to the verifier by Truework.

I need to change my direct deposit info - how do I do this?
You can log in to your Gusto account and, under the 'Job & Pay' tab, you'll find a section entitled 'Payment Methods' - you may input your new/changed account info here. Please note that payroll is run at the very latest on Wednesdays ahead of the paycheck date, so please make any necessary changes well before Wednesday of a payroll week if possible.
I have questions about my benefit elections - who should I talk to?
Please reach out to Human Resources. Please keep in mind that our current plan year started effective March 1, 2023 and ends February 28, 2023. Most changes need to take place during open enrollment (just ahead of our next plan year effective date). However, you may have a qualifying life event (such as marriage, birth of a child, new address, etc.) that would allow you to make changes. What should I know about PTO?
PTO is accrued per week and per pay period, and is dependent upon how long you've worked with the company. For example, those who have been with the company 1 year or less, you will accrue 1.5 hours per 40 hours worked and 3 hours per pay period (80 hours worked). PTO balances can be viewed in your Gusto profile under the 'Time Off' tab. You may request time off via this same tab. We ask that you make any PTO requests as soon as you know you need the time off, also making your boss aware of the situation. PTO is approved at your manager's discretion. Unused PTO up to 40 hours will rollover into your balance for the next calendar year if not used by December 31.

I need a new or replacement insurance card - what should I do?
New insurance cards for BCBS & Principal will be sent to you at the beginning of a new plan year or when you've initially signed up for insurance for the first time. Beam does not send out ID cards, but you can gain access to one once you've registered on their site post-enrollment. BCBS & Principal cards can also be access and/or requested via the respective portals.
I received an email that looks like phishing or spam - what should I do?
If you receive a suspicious email, especially from someone posing as an employee, please forward the email to Tim@curlmix.com, cc'ing hr@curlmix.com immediately.
I'm going to be late to work or to a meeting - what should I do?
At CurlMix, communication is key. Whether you're going to be late for a meeting or work in general, it's best to reach out directly to your manager as soon as you know you'll be late so that expectations are managed properly. No need to loop HR in unless it results in a leave (absence) of some sort.

I am an on-site worker and have questions about COVID precautions.
For those who are exposed to COVID who need to get a test and/or care for someone who has been diagnosed, we can still pay you through a special governmental allowance - because of this, PTO requests are not needed (and will be denied) but HR does need to be informed so the adequate time-off bank can be used for payroll purposes.
I've got questions about when I qualify for 401k...
Full-time employees are eligible to enroll and participate in the CurlMix 401k plan after 3 months in their full-time role. Close to the 3-month mark, you'll receive an invitation via Guideline to join or decline, and you can change your mind at any time.
