Jojoba Oil - The Organic Jojoba Oil is most like the natural "sebum" (sticky oil-like substance) that our scalp produces. Spreading that oil to the tips of our strands provides a healthier environment for growth and increases moisture levels.
Fragrance: Lavender
Ingredients: Distilled Water: Purified water that minimizes bacteria growth in hair products.
Organic Brown Flaxseeds: Leaves hair soft and shiny and is rich in omega 3s. It is also naturally enriched with vitamins and helps to improve hair growth.

The first time I used it I immediately knew I loved the shampoo, I do not use shampoo it often strips my hair making it hard and almost glass like. The hydration I did not feel much difference then the moisturizer added some softness and the flaxseed did define, however my hair was dry and hard. So I washed it again the same day, and I then noticed a better experience but the curls were not defined enough for me to wear as a style at all. I washed it again and I had curls I had not seen, did not I could have and a bit more control of the overall look, my curls are very tight in the crown and coils at my nape, wavy in the front top of my hair. I can say that your product has made it easy for me to know get loc, my hair has always been fine and I attempted to coil my hair for locs for it to hold just three days before going straight. I have always had to manipulate, curls, volume and hold of my hair due to my z pattern hair, but now I have can see the locs staying in and so I am thankful and grateful for the product I can now start a my loc journey with the texture of my now, "curlmixed" hair. Hi, I'm Kim
I created CurlMix to serve curly women who wanted clean, natural, safe, and effective hair products.

My Hair Story
1997
My First Relaxer
When I was 6 years old, my grandmother relaxed my hair, against my mother's request. My mother was so upset, and that led to 13 years of relaxers to acheive "straight hair" so I could feel "beauitful" and fit in at school.
2010
MY BIG CHOP
Sophomore year in college, I was inspired to go natural by my mother and several girls wearing their afros on campus. That semester, I cut all of my hair off in my dorm room.
2017
CurlMix Launch
I wanted to help other women embrace and celebrate their natural beauty, the same way my mother did for me. We launched a 4 step system to help you master your curls.
FAQ
Will my products be all natural and organic?
Yes, we will only provide natural and/or organic ingredients. We keep our labels simple, so you can understand exactly what is going on your hair & body. All ingredient information is on each individual product page.
Do I need to refrigerate them?
No, the water-based products include a preservative. This includes all of our products except any pure oil formulas. Putting them in the refrigerator does help them last longer but is not required. Unopened, they have a 2 year shelf life and after it is opened, 1 year.
What if I'm allergic to a few things?
Ingredients may have been derived from corn, soy, wheat, and/or nut products. They may have also been produced in a facility that makes those products.
We recommend conducting an "Area/Patch Test" as described below.
Area/Patch Test: This test allows you to test a small area of your skin for 24 hours before applying the treatment to a larger area. We recommend rubbing the CurlMix mixture on the skin near your elbow, covering it with a bandage for 24 hours and if there is no allergic response (redness, itchiness,swelling) then apply the treatment as directed in the instructions. If you have an allergic reaction, we do not recommend the use of CurlMix and suggest that you seek a medical professional’s consultation.
What preservative do you use?
Optiphen PLUS
We use a safe and natural preservative called Optiphen PLUS. It is a paraben and formaldehyde-free preservative as well. It's ideal for preserving natural products that are used on the hair and skin. It offers both safe & effective protection against bacteria, yeast and mold growth, making products last longer and safer to use.
How long will my CurlMix products last?
Approximately 2 years if unopened. Once opened, store in a cool dry place. It can last one year once opened.

Are CurlMix products safe to use on color treated hair?
Yes, they are.

I love this product! I bought the flaxseed gel, deep conditioner and leave-in conditioner. My daughter did as well and we both love it! I tell everyone I can about it and highly recommend all 3 products!! We both have very curly hair and we saw this on Shark Tank and took a chance on it. My hair is naturally dry. I just used the moisturizer and gel( 3&4). I think I need to incorporate The conditioner( #2) as well. It looks curly, yet dry and stiff. Any suggestions?

My daughter's hair usually dries BIG and PUFFY after washing. The flaxseed gel "tamed" her natural curls. She also retained the length - no shrinkage. She loves CurlMix!

I like the scent! I love that it is very moisturizing but not heavy. I have thin, fine, delicate wavy/curly hair. Most products weigh my hair down and it loses its curl pattern. I'm new to wearing my hair down naturally so I can't wait to see how my hair will look like in a few months! Especially after I get a curly haircut. I definitely recommend this pure flaxseed gel! I also want to try other products in this line.
