Setting the stage

CurlMix has been launching new products for years now.

Every time our CurlMixers want something we do our best to give it to you.

Starting with our flaxseed gel in 2018 we quickly launched our moisturizer, serum, and body butter.

In 2019, we finally launched our full system featuring the much-requested shampoo and conditioner.

But y'all had something else on your mind.

Key Ingredients

Pro-Vitamin B5

Provitamin B5 also known as Panthenol is a powerhouse moisturizer and humectant. It easily penetrates the skin and pulls in water right along with it, helping to hydrate and soothe. It helps improve elasticity and is anti-inflammatory to give added protection to your skin and hair.

Squalane

Squalane is a super oil that is considered a luxury in cosmetics. Squalane is an emollient meaning it softens, protects, and moisturizes your hair and skin. Squalane comes from squalene which our body naturally produces in the sebum, and can be found most commonly in shark liver but don’t worry, the squalane we use is vegan and is derived from plant sources like olive oils, rice, and sugar cane.

Rose Water

Rose Water was one of the first cosmetics products ever! It has been used since ancient Persia for its moisturizing, emollient, and anti-inflammatory properties. It's great when used on the scalp and hair to soothe the skin and soften your frizzy curls. Plus, rose water adds an amazingly light floral fragrance that people go crazy for.

Slippery Elm

Slippery Elm is another ancient cosmetic, native to North America, indigenous people have been using the mucilaginous inner bark of the tree to solve problems both inside and outside of the body. It is a demulcent, meaning it absorbs and traps water in a film that can help soothe, heal, and moisturize. Plus, it helps you easily absorb key vitamins, amino acids, and minerals like calcium.

Grapeseed Oil

Grapeseed oil is quickly becoming one of our favorite ingredients. It is a polyunsaturated fatty acid which makes it great to eat and use on your body. What makes it so special when used in hair products is that it contains tocopherols like vitamin e, and linoleic acid. Linoleic acid is one of two essential acids and it helps keep your hair smooth and shiny.
