Wondering how to get flawless skin?
It’s easier than you think, and you might just have the secret right in your house!
You probably already got the goods to reveal skin that’s soft, glowing, and beautiful.
In our first CurlMix Chemistry blog, we showed you how to DIY flaxseed gel in your kitchen... But we didn't tell you how to use it!
So grab that flaxseed gel!
Today, you’ll learn a couple of ways you can use flaxseed gel to get great skin.
Let's get started.
Start Here for Flawless Skin
The first thing you want to do is start with a good clean base. So you have to cleanse your face!
Next, you want to pat your face dry. Don’t rub or tug at your face!
Gently pat your skin.
Now you’re ready to apply your mask.
Let’s start with a really easy flaxseed gel mask.
How to Apply Your Flaxseed Gel Mask
Take a little bit of flaxseed gel and start to massage it into your face in circular motions.
Does it feel a little weird? That’s okay!
Keep going… this mask has some really cool benefits that you'll want to take advantage of for your skin. For example, it's super hydrating.
Once you get your mask all spread out, let it dry. You’ll feel your face start to get dry and tight.
That’s the mask firming on the surface of your skin. Once it’s completely tight, you’re ready for the next step.
Next, you’ll gently break the mask up with your fingers, and rinse it off.
Pat your face dry once again and apply your favorite face moisturizer.
Mask-Boosting Bonus: Add a little bit of peppermint or tea tree oil to this mask for an added cooling effect on your skin.
Another Use for Your Flax Seeds
Do you still have your flax seeds from your DIY flaxseed gel?
Even after you’ve made flaxseed gel from them, you can also save those flax seeds, grind them up with a little bit of flaxseed gel and create another mask!
This mask will have a gentle exfoliating effect.
This will help scrape off a little bit of dead skin, so your skin will look nice, new, bright, and shiny.
Make sure your gel is cool enough to apply it to your face when you make this mask. You don't want to get any third-degree burns on your money-maker.
First, take a little bit of flaxseed gel and your leftover flax seeds and grind them up together.
Next, apply this mask to your face, in circular motions.
After you’ve applied this mask to your entire face, let it dry.
Once it's finished drying, you can rinse this one off with water.
Be sure you get all the flax seed bits off as you rinse.
Don’t forget to pat your face dry and apply your face moisturizer!
Science tip: One cool thing about grinding up whole flax seeds is that you also get the flaxseed oil inside, which is packed full of omega three and six fatty acids.
These are great antioxidants that help keep your skin looking younger.

Hi, I just ordered the fragrance free products. What kind of hold does this system give? Very soft, soft, light cruch, or a stiff hold?
