She is the co-founder of CurlMix, the first DIY box for curly hair. Her innovative take on Do–It–Yourself hair products has won her praise from top industry publications such as Refinery29, Essence Magazine, Ebony Magazine, Hype Hair Magazine, and Naturally Curly. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics & Marketing from the University of Illinois, Kim has taken the DIY spirit to heart, building CurlMix from the ground up to six figures within less than a year.
Kim was a runner-up in the Black Enterprise Pitch Competition and the winner of the Association of Women Inventors and Entrepreneurs Pitch Competition.

attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign double majoring in Economics & Psychology. Leaving college without a job, and a new wife, Tim was forced to work at Starbucks. Knowing his talent for trivia, his wife Kim signed him up to be on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” where he put his knowledge of random facts to good use by winning $100,000. He then invested $25,000 into Kim’s first business and has been her biggest supporter ever since. He is now the co-founder of CurlMix, his wife's second business, and CurlMix's business strategist.
Tim is charismatic and quick witted, with a keen eye towards efficient business development and marketing. Tim is also well versed in human behavior and Psychology having conducted research in behavioral science at University of Illinois and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In short, he is jack of all trades. Tim is also the founder of Lewis Group Ventures a consultancy in Governance Risk & Compliance for Fortune 500 companies.
